For this, an instrument has been designed and validated, with the aim that 120 students from public secondary schools in the Valencian Community can provide information on their learning of social sciences, the teaching strategies carried out by teachers and their assessment, of the citizen formation of those didactic projects that work the socially relevant problems. The perception of the social sciences is optimal and with more significant differences between the two analyzed courses. El objetivo de este estudio es conocer la percepción que tiene el alumnado de periferias escolares sobre las ciencias sociales. Para ello se ha diseñado y validado un instrumento, con la pretensión de que 120 estudiantes de centros escolares públicos de educación secundaria de la Comunidad Valenciana puedan aportar información sobre su aprendizaje de las ciencias sociales, las estrategias de enseñanza desempeñadas por el profesorado y su valoración de la formación ciudadana de esos proyectos didácticos que trabajan los problemas socialmente relevantes.
