| Sumario: | The main purpose of this project is to increase the accuracy when operating automated dispensing cabinets (ADC) by nursing staff. The nursing station has started to promote the usage of emergency and temporary medicines by operating ADC since February 2020. The task force found that the reasons causing low executive rare is misunderstanding and unfamiliarity when operating ADC by nursing staff. The project aimed to provide internal education training programs with the aim of increasing the accuracy rate by: making simple-operation flow charts of automated dispensing cabinets, abnormal exclusion tables of automated dispensing cabinets, and recording an education video "medicine you are safe". The knowledge rate of operating ADC by nursing staff improved from 62.6% to 95.7%, and the accuracy rate of operating ADC also improved from 55.2% to 96.4% by implementing the program. We hope this training project will be made available to others and the artificial intelligence will optimize drug delivery process when making prescriptions to in-patient. The ADC will deliver medicines faster and safer, and achieve higher health care quality for patients. (Tzu Chi Nursing Journal, 2023; 22:4, 84-94)
