This article analyses the process of cartographic representation of the 'language border' dividing Czech and German speaking populations in the Czech Lands based on analysis of more than 350 maps published primarily in Prague, Berlin and Vienna between 1810 and 1945. The dataset includes different types of maps, including single-sheet, atlas, newspaper and wall maps produced for academic, administrative, educational and propaganda purposes. The data collected have made it possible to identify the basic milestones, periodization and dynamics of public and private mapping of this border that furthered identification with a particular territory or national agenda. La cartografía y la reasignación de las fronteras lingüísticas en Europa Central en el siglo XIX y en la primera mitad del XX proporcionan un ejemplo enriquecedor de un momento histórico en el que la cartografía étnica estaba en el apogeo de su influencia. Este artículo analiza el proceso de representación cartográfica de la 'frontera lingüística' que divide a las poblaciones de habla checa y alemana en los Territorios Checos sobre la base del análisis de más de 350 mapas publicados, principalmente en Praga, Berlín y Viena, entre 1810 y 1945. El conjunto de datos recoge diferentes tipos de mapas, incluidos mapas de una sola hoja, atlas, periódicos y mapas murales producidos con fines académicos, administrativos, educativos y de propaganda. Los datos recopilados han permitido identificar los hitos básicos, la periocidad y la dinámica de la cartografía pública y privada de esta frontera, que favoreció la identificación con un territorio específico o con una agenda nacional. Les cartographies successives des frontières linguistiques en Europe centrale au cours du dix-neuvième et de la première moitié du vingtième siècle constituent un riche exemple d'un moment historique où la cartographie ethnique était au sommet de son influence. Cet article analyse le processus de représentation cartographique de la 'frontière linguistique' divisant les populations tchèques et germanophones dans les Pays tchèques en se basant sur l'analyse de plus de 350 cartes publiées principalement à Prague, Berlin et Vienne entre 1810 et 1945. Le jeu de données comprend différents types de cartes, notamment des cartes en feuille unique, des atlas, des cartes de journaux et des cartes murales produites à des fins académiques, administratives, éducatives et de propagande. Les données collectées ont permis d'identifier les étapes fondamentales, la périodisation et la dynamique de la cartographie publique et privée de cette frontière qui ont contribué à renforcer l'identification des populations à un territoire particulier ou à un sentiment national. Die wiederholten kartographischen Darstellungen von Sprachgrenzen in Mitteleuropa während des 19. und der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts stellen ein gutes Beispiel für jene Phase dar, in der die ethnographische Kartographie ihren größten Einfluss hatte. In diesem Beitrag wird die Entwicklung der Visualisierung der Sprachgrenze zwischen Tschechisch und Deutsch sprechenden Bevölkerungsgruppen analysiert. Er basiert auf der Auswertung von über 350 Karten, die zumeist in Prag, Berlin und Wien zwischen 1810 und 1945 publiziert wurden. Darunter befinden sich unterschiedliche Kartentypen wie Einzelkarten, Atlanten, Zeitungs- und Wandkarten, die für Wissenschaft, Verwaltung, Bildung und Propagandazwecke bestimmt waren. Auf dieser Datenbasis war es möglich, die einflussreichsten Karten zu identifizieren, eine Periodisierung festzulegen und die treibenden Kräfte hinter offiziellen und privaten kartographischen Unternehmungen auszuloten.
