Map libraries are already likely to use content-management systems to provide access to their scanned map collections, making adding born-digital maps technically simple. Many major map collections across the United States have successfully focused on digitally reformatting their print collections and/or the collection of geospatial data in a way that has been to the detriment of acquiring born-digital maps. |
