Copyright infringement Piracy (Copyright) Oxford University Press University presses ab: The article reports that British Publishers Association (PA) has fired off a letter to Google Inc. about potential copyright infringements, as trade and academic publishers take sides on the Google Print project. The PA is most concerned about Google's scanning of works from five major libraries, including the Bodleian in Oxford. Although works scanned from the Bodleian will be out of copyright, Google also has access to all works from Stanford, Michigan and Harvard universities. So far most academic publishers, including Oxford University Press and California University Press, have signed up for the Google Print book digitization project. Authors' rights are also in dispute, with the Society of Authors adamant that authors' consent be sought if their books are included in Google Print. pubtype: Trade Publication doctype: Article src: R language: English refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of Bookseller is the property of Bookseller Media Ltd and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
