| Sumario: | This article focuses on publishing of letters of George Bernard Shaw, a dramatist and critic. In 1949, when one of Shaw's American publishers, Dodd, Mead & Co., wrote to him proposing an edition of his collected letters, Shaw replied to them that there are billions of them and he is adding to them every day. Monumental four-volume "Bernard Shaw: Collected Letters" contains 113 letters to 15 publishers. Although it is tempting to say that Shaw had only four publishers Grant Richards and Constable & Co. in England, Brentano's and Dodd, Mead & Co. in the U.S.
