Sumario:This article examines the representation of Dalit masculinities in the Indian films "Jai Bhim" and "Article 15." It argues that previous studies on masculinity in Indian cinema have overlooked the analysis of Dalit communities. The films explore the oppression faced by marginalized groups and the potential for justice through the legal system. The article analyzes the complexities of Dalit masculinities and their subversion of hegemonic masculinity. It also discusses the impact of economic liberalization on the portrayal of masculinity in Bollywood and the need for control in male protagonists in Tamil cinema.
