| Sumario: | The article highlights an important aspect of social life that is the loss of a child during the prenatal period. For women, a miscarriage is a difficult, painful experience, which also carries an emotional burden for their loved ones. The purpose of the article is to emphasize the importance of sensitizing society to the issue of the death of a child in the prenatal period. A kind of “mental revolution” towards the approach to the subject of miscarriage, the burial of children who died before birth, as well as the issue of experiencing mourning is important. Qualitative empirical research was carried out for this study using the documents from the parish register of St. Joseph in Katowice, where the grave of lost children is located. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na ważny aspekt życia społecznego, jakim jest utrata dziecka w okresie prenatalnym. Dla kobiet poronienie jest doświadczeniem trudnym, bolesnym, niosącym obciążenie emocjonalne również dla najbliższych. Celem artykułu jest podkreślenie, jak ważne jest uwrażliwienie społeczeństwa na kwestie śmierci dziecka w okresie prenatalnym. Istotna jest swego rodzaju „mentalna rewolucja” wobec podejścia do tematu poronienia, pochówku dzieci zmarłych przed narodzeniem, jak również kwestii przeżywania żałoby. Na poczet niniejszego opracowania przeprowadzono jakościowe badania empiryczne: przeanalizowano dokumenty z kartoteki cmentarnej parafi i św. Józefa w Katowicach, na terenie której znajduje się grób dzieci utraconych. |
