| Sumario: | The article "Pólemos and stásis: tragic vestiges and borders of the military and the political" by Juan Pablo Arancibia examines the relationship between war and politics in ancient Greece. The author argues that war was a common instrument in Greek politics and that Athenian democracy was based on the fusion of the citizen and the soldier. However, the author warns that throughout history, imperial powers have declared and unleashed war without finding a solution to this cycle of violence.
