Sumario:The article reports that HarperCollins Publishers Inc.'s mind, body and spirit (HC's MBS) division Thorsons Element has recruited BBC Books senior commissioning editor Sally Potter to the position of publishing director, to help expand its roster of TV-related, mass-market projects. Potter will build a list of high-profile authors with an emphasis on TV and media tie-ins, mainly in the lifestyle area. She will work alongside publishing directors Wanda Whiteley and Carole Tonkinson. Potter's appointment comes as HC's MBS imprint takes a more mass market approach to publishing across the board. Managing Director and publisher Belinda Budge has dramatically cut back the number of titles the imprint publishes to 79 this year from 220 three years ago.
