The turnspit dog was the "product" of material conditions of production as they were forced to labor in butter-churning, knife-grinding, water-raising, sewing, and food industries. Furthermore, their bodies and labor tried to be "perfected" by selective breeding and violent methods of training, mechanical dressage, and labor discipline.
