In approaching dance film I was inspired by my own experience in this field, a short dance film, and by my passion about contemporary dance. I see the communication between cinema and dance as capitalising both on corporeal expressive capacity and the technical means of editing, lighting and oratorical accumulation in the sense of a discourse, whose substance need not be epic or narrative. The studied creators demonstrate the primacy of poetry, as it is transposed into movement, in the making of a dance film. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: English refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of Theatrical Colloquia is the property of George Enescu University of Arts, Artes Publishing House and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
