ab: In today's world, post truth, which is one of the most remarkable concepts, that defines a period in which the lines between fact and fake becomes blurred; perceptions rather than facts, emotions and desires rather than reason; beyond that, lying in messages has become widespread and unimportant. At first, the concept of questioning the reason why societies do not care about being lied to by politicians and accept it; even when the lie is so obvious. A quarter century after being introduced, it was chosen as the word of the year in 2016 by the Oxford Dictionary, a critical year for UK and US politics and voter behavior in which the concept evolved in a more complex dimension due to the political communication strategies. This is because, the internet became available for individual use, social media platforms were created and started to be used by vast masses, and an internet culture that allows personalized content arose, By applying descriptive field analysis from a constructivist approach, this article examines the role of the internet user in the post truth era, by assessing the internet user as a main part of internet culture due to the production and distribution of information.
