Here is studied which was and why the franciscan's choice of comparing Arnau considered as an alchemist in opposition to the king Salomon.
        Aquest estudi es fa sobre un passatge de Francesc Eiximenis en la seva obra Primer Llibre del Crestià que, per un vell error de quasi cent anys, ha propiciat una imatge alterada sobre el metge Arnau de Vilanova. S'ha partit del ms. 456 de la Biblioteca de Catalunya i de l'incunable de Lambert Palmart estampat a València el 1483. Aquí s'estudia quina va ser i per quina raó la tria en què el franciscà va comparar Arnau considerat com a alquimista en oposició al rei Salomó.
