Due to world events and their impact on health, the PRM must gradually adopt measures to reduce the economic and environmental impact of health systems. These measures go through promoting the preventive aspect and the incorporation of certain non-conventional medical therapies such as acupuncture, phytotherapy, homeopathy, osteopathy, neural therapy, antihomotoxic therapy, ozone therapy among others, or conventional such as diet therapy, which enjoy scientific evidence and meet safety and efficacy criteria. The objective of this article is to highlight the importance of adopting solutions to make health systems in general and the PRM in particular more sustainable. La Medicina Física y Rehabilitadora (MFR) pasa por un buen momento debido a los avances científico-técnicos, logrando resultados cada vez más satisfactorios. Debido a los acontecimientos mundiales y su repercusión en la salud, la MFR ha de ir adoptando medidas para reducir el impacto económico y ambiental de los sistemas de salud. Estas medidas pasan por potenciar el aspecto preventivo y la incorporación de ciertas terapias médicas no convencionales (TMNC) como la acupuntura, fitoterapia, la homeopatía, osteopatía, terapia neural, terapia antihomotóxica, ozonoterapia entre otras, o convencionales como la dietoterapia, que gocen de evidencia científica y cumplan con criterios de seguridad y eficacia.
