| Sumario: | In the age of globalization, our students of both, Translation Studies and Computer Engineering, will be working very soon and to a very high percentage in international companies and intercultural teams. Therefore, we believe that culture-specific knowledge, intercultural awareness, a careful attitude towards differences and qualitative information processing, in summary: intercultural mindfulness, are essential in achieving professional success. This thought raises, however, the question if and how aware of these aspects of their future professional life our students are. How important is it to them to communicate, to understand and to act successfully in a multicultural working community, or, in other words, to master linguistic and cultural understanding and acting with confidence? À l’heure de la mondialisation, nous observons, autant chez nos étudiants en Traduction et Interprétation que chez nos étudiants en Informatique, une tendance croissante à travailler dans des entreprises internationales et des équipes de travail multiculturelles. Par conséquent, nous considérons que les connaissances socioculturelles, la conscience interculturelle, une attitude adaptée à l’interlocuteur et le traitement attentif des informations recueillies, autrement dit, la communication pleine conscience, sont d’une grande importance pour la réussite professionnelle de nos étudiants. Cette affirmation soulève toutefois la question de savoir si et dans quelle mesure nos étudiants sont préparés à gérer ces aspects de leur future vie professionnelle, de savoir quelle est l’importance qu’ils attachent à comprendre et à se faire comprendre pleinement, dans un milieu professionnel interculturel. Im Zeitalter der Globalisierung, werden unsere Student/-innen der Translationswissenschaften und Ingenieurwissenschaften sehr bald und zu einem sehr hohen Prozent in internationalen Unternehmen und interkulturellen Arbeitskollektiven tätig sein. Daher sind wir der Meinung, dass das kulturspezifische Wissen, das interkulturelle Bewusstsein, eine aufmerksame Haltung gegenüber dem Fremden und eine qualitative Informationsverarbeitung, zusammenfassend: interkulturelle Achtsamkeit (mindfulness), für den beruflichen Erfolg unserer Student/-innen eine sehr wichtige Rolle spielen werden. Von diesem Gedanken ausgehend, stellt sich weiterhin die Frage, wie bewusst sich die Studierenden dieser Aspekte ihres zukünftigen beruflichen Alltags sind. Wie bedeutend ist es für sie, in einer multikulturellen Arbeitsgemeinschaft erfolgreich zu handeln und zu kommunizieren, zu verstehen und sich zu verständigen, oder anders gesagt, sprachliches und kulturelles Verstehen und Handeln souverän zu beherrschen? Trăind ȋn era globalizării, observăm ȋn rândurile studenţilor noştri, atât ȋn ceea ce ȋi priveşte pe cei ce studiază Traducere şi Interpretare, cât ȋn cazul studenţilor Facultăţii de Automatică şi Calculatoare, tendinţa tot mai ridicată de a lucra ȋn corporaţii internaţionale şi, astfel, ȋn colective de muncă interculturale. Prin urmare, considerăm cunoştinţele socioculturale profunde, conştiinţa interculturală, o atitudine potrivită faţă de interlocutor şi o gestionare atentă a informaţiilor socio-culturale culese, cu alte cuvinte: conştientizarea momentului, drept extrem de importante ȋn evoluţia profesională a studenţilor noştri. Se pune atunci ȋntrebarea, cât de pregătiţi sunt studenţii ȋn abordarea acestor aspecte din viitorul lor cotidian profesional? Câtă importanţă dau gestionării actului de a ȋnţelege şi de a fi ȋnţeles ȋn profunzime ȋntr-un mediu profesional intercultural? |
