The qualitative methodology uses anthropological immersion techniques. The objective is to analyze how the kinship system is constructed from genealogy to allow cultural comparison and to corroborate the functioning of a bilateral society with patrilineal nuance. It also underlines the importance of the preservation of ethnocultural difference, not only through social and family organization but also through sociobiological endogamy. The fact is that the Gitanos feel somewhat related to one another, even though genealogically they are not.
