ab: Old age is one of the most precious periods of human life. During this valuable period, elderly people may struggle to adapt to changing life circumstances, daily life practices, or evolving technological opportunities. Although these changes are a new experience for the elderly, they are not something they cannot overcome. Undoubtedly, adapting to this change is also related to the health status, mental competence, and social adaptation of the elderly. Those who possess these attributes can adapt to the changes in daily life. This study analyzes the experiences of the film character Ben, who steps into a new work experience during his old age. The aim of the study is to discuss the issues related to old age through the character Ben. In this context, the film The Intern was examined using document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. Evaluations were made regarding the character Ben and his new work. The scenes analyzed in this film, where important messages are conveyed, were repeatedly viewed by the author. The study is evaluated under three thematic headings: old age and technology, leisure time and retirement, and age discrimination. While evaluating the study, especially national and international literature were taken into consideration. According to the results of the research, within the scope of the film examined, it was concluded that the elderly can adapt to technology, even though it is difficult. It has also been seen that it is important for the elderly to utilize their leisure time after retirement. Although issues related to age discrimination are constantly emphasized, the existence of negative attitudes was another conclusion reached within the scope of this study.
