However, many of these programs face challenges that threaten their sustainability. Using a case study approach, this paper discusses the operation, participation, successes, and challenges facing a relatively new campus bike share program in Southeastern US. The study employed a descriptive research design and utilized quantitative methods to generate insights. With the aid of questionnaire, data was collected from multiple stakeholders including private cyclists, registered bike share members, and transportation service staff on college campus. SPSS was used to analyze the data, with descriptive statistics such as frequencies and percentages, and inferential statistics including the chi-square test. The results indicate that the program has shown a modest patronage in ridership, but several challenges were identified. They include inadequate bike paths, limited bike parking spaces, and safety concerns.
