The Yemeni poets were skilled at choosing the story that helped them enhance their artistic vision, as they approached the Qur’anic story by referring to it, hinting at it, mentioning part of it, or transforming it, without falling into detailed narration, which created the opportunity for the reader to create artistic images, which is what made him He returns with his imagination to the story that the poet used to compare the Quranic story with the artistic form he adopts in his poetry to serve a new artistic content. Yemeni poets understood the artistic and aesthetic value of employing the stories of the Qur’anic prophets in their poetic works, realizing their profound impact on the reader. These stories contain rich concepts that blend distinctly into the poetry, adding to it a depth that cannot be achieved with ordinary sentences, which enhances the artistic element of poetry in general. In this research, we have studied the Qur’anic characters in contemporary Yemeni poetry because of the importance of this study and the focus on the descriptive and analytical approach. The results of the study indicate that Yemeni poets found in the Qur’anic story a support for expressing their thoughts and feelings, as they were inspired by its meanings and events to connect them to their poetic experiences, which added Their poetry has a distinct dimension of power and influence. The character of the Prophet Joseph, peace be upon him, is one of the characters that appears in contemporary Yemeni poetry much more than the rest of the prophets, peace be upon them. The story of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) is one of the stories that has a great place in the Holy Qur’an, and the story of Solomon with the ants is one of the Qur’anic stories that some contemporary poets of Yemen have adopted in their poetry. Most of the poems that dealt with the Messenger (may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family) are among what is known as “poems of prophetic praise.” Contemporary Yemeni poets often used the event of the Night Journey and Mi’raj of the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, which the Holy Qur’an mentioned in Surah Al-Isra. There are characters in contemporary Yemeni poetry who are not characters. Prophets and guardians, including the character of the Virgin Mary (peace be upon her) and the character of Mrs. Umm Musa (peace be upon her).
