Participants were parents or main caregivers of autistic children. There were 280 parents of children (aged six to ten years) with a diagnosis of ASD. For analyses of gender and country differences in future anxiety, experience of stigma, emotion regulation and quality of life, a multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was performed. Findings highlight the importance of a cross-cultural approach to understand the predictive contribution of selected sociodemographics of parents and child on study variables.
