The bygone world of the Romanian nobility of this region has been recreated through paintings, photographs, documents, 2D and 3D objects, and other cultural values. Thus, one of the influential Macedonian-Romanian aristocratic families that settled in Căpâlna was the Mocioni family. Among the families of the minor Romanian nobility, we mention the Petranu "de Ileanda" family, whose representatives made a significant contribution to the political, cultural, national and spiritual consolidation of the local society. The history of Arad also includes the families of Serb (Sierbu)-Mézes, Slăv de Buceava/Brusturi, Vlad de Zarand, ennobled in the 17th-18th centuries by emperors from the House of Habsburg or Transylvanian princes, for military merits. Having served as models of dignified coexistence for generations, they have largely shaped the world we live in today. The museum collections of Arad partially preserve documents testifying to the noble dignity of these families.
