AI in Education (AIED) is impactful on the practices and environment of teaching and learning. This study investigated instructional technology faculty's perspectives about the role and utility of AI in education. Semi-structured interviews were administered to collect in-depth feedback about using AI in teaching, learning, and assessment. The four participants were college professors who taught in the instructional technology program at a large Midwestern university. Findings showed that AI does not receive enough attention from professors in general. Participants expressed strong desire to integrate AI throughout the educational environment, but maturation of integration will take time.
