LaBelle, who started the program at Georgetown University after leaving the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy in 2017, was responding to the need for a science‐based program. "Georgetown was looking for something to address a public need," LaBelle told ADAW. "A lot of policy is based on stigma, or on someone's personal experience, and not on science." |
