| Sumario: | The article in the Journal of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language (RANLE) addresses the evolution of the Pan-Hispanic detective novel, highlighting the anthology "Ellas cuentan" by Latin American women in the United States. It mentions the tribute to Rolando Hinojosa at Texas State University, who wrote detective novels in the rural noir variant. The arrival of the detective genre in the Pan-Hispanic context and the golden age of the noir novel are explored, as well as the development of rural noir from the Chicano perspective.
