In line with this purpose, the main problem statement of the study was determined as “How do first-term graduate candidate religious officials evaluate the Diyanet Academy imamhatip education?” In the article, case study was preferred among qualitative research designs. The study group of the research is 14 first-term graduates of the Diyanet Academy, selected using maximum diversity and snowball sampling techniques. The interviews were held in June and July 2024. At the end of the research, it was determined that the majority of the participants were of the opinion that the Academy training was generally productive. A significant portion of the participants find the variety of courses in the candidate imam-hatip program generally suitable/sufficient in terms of preparation for the profession, but they also see that it can be improved. The majority of participants are of the opinion that instructors are sufficient in terms of field knowledge, but insufficient in terms of knowledge and skills to convey this. It has been determined that the greatest dissatisfaction of the participants regarding the training processes is focused on motivation. At the end of the study, some suggestions were put forward for the development of the Academy training processes. In this respect, it is expected that the results of this study, which deals with a current and important issue, will contribute to both the development of the Academy’s education processes and the religious education literature. Bu çalışmada yeni bir uygulama olan Diyanet Akademisi eğitimini tamamlamış olan ilk dönem mezunu imamhatiplerin, adaylıkları sürecinde aldıkları eğitime ilişkin görüş ve değerlendirmelerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmanın temel problem cümlesi “İlk dönem mezunu aday din görevlileri Diyanet Akademisi imam-hatip eğitimini nasıl değerlendirmektedir?” şeklinde belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması tercih edilmiştir. Çalışma grubu maksimum çeşitlilik ve kartopu örnekleme teknikleri ile seçilen Diyanet Akademisi’nin ilk dönem mezunu 14 imam-hatiptir. Görüşmeler 2024 yılının Haziran ve Temmuz aylarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda katılımcıların çoğunluğunun Akademi eğitiminin genel itibarıyla verimli geçtiği kanaatinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların önemli bir kesimi, aday imam-hatip programında yer alan ders çeşitliliğini mesleğe hazırlık açısından genel itibarıyla uygun/yeterli bulmakla birlikte programın geliştirilmesi gerektiğini ifade etmektedir. Katılımcıların önemli çoğunluğu, Akademi’de ders veren öğreticilerin alan bilgisi açısından yeterli olduğu, ancak bunu aktarma bilgi ve becerisi yönünden verimli olamadığı kanaatindedir. Katılımcıla-rın eğitim süreçlerine ilişkin en büyük memnuniyetsizliklerinin ise motivasyon konusu olduğu tespit edil-miştir. Çalışmanın sonunda Akademi eğitim süreçlerinin geliştirilmesine dönük birtakım öneriler ortaya konulmuştur.
