In the construction and establishment of an informationknowledge society where the participation of all social actors is needed and where in general there is no adequate scientific culture among the population, the use of social and academic networks, as well as the open access to information and open science, contribute to this achievement. Since the emergence of the Open Source movement in 1998, the development of the Open Access movement has gradually been witnessed, as well as the promotion of the use of teaching materials with Open CourseWare, up to the reuse of scientific data and its transparent use with Open Science. The open science initiative is gaining more and more followers and conspires against cognitive capitalism. In this work, its characteristics have been exposed and analyzed. Los avances de la ciencia han hecho el proceso de su comunicación cada vez más extenso y complejo. En la construcción y asentamiento de una sociedad de la información-conocimiento donde se necesita la participación de todos los actores sociales, y donde de manera general no se cuenta con una cultura científica adecuada entre la población, la utilización de las redes sociales y académicas, así como el acceso abierto a la información y la ciencia abierta contribuyen a este logro. A partir del surgimiento del movimiento Open Source en 1998, de manera paulatina se presenció el desarrollo del movimiento Open Access, así como el fomento en el uso de materiales docentes con el Open CourseWare, hasta la reutilización de los datos científicos y su uso transparente con el Open Science. La iniciativa de ciencia abierta, cada vez gana más adeptos y conspira contra el capitalismo cognitivo.
