Sumario:This study examines the chemical composition of four types of A strings for the violin, originating from different models. The aim of the research was to identify the main materials used in the manufacturing of these strings and to evaluate how they influence the acoustic properties and durability of the strings. The analysis included techniques such as spectroscopy and mass spectrometry to determine the presence of metals, alloys, and other chemical substances. The results highlight significant differences between the string compositions, showing variations based on the core materials and manufacturing processes used. These variations may affect the musical performance and longevity of each string model. The study contributes to a better understanding of the role of chemical composition in producing high-quality violin strings.
