Therefore, TV series that compete with the budgets of box office movies are quickly involved in our lives. These productions, which increase their importance among popular culture texts day by day and can be accessed at every moment of our lives, are not independent of the forms of power and ideology in society. At this point, it’s crucial to look at the conflicts based on social classes as the social reflection of power. To a scientific approach to social relations, it’s necessary to conduct research using semiotic methods to examine the obvious messages and underlying meanings of the texts of TV series which allows examining collective identity that categorizes and constructs social structures. Also, in this way, examples related to the display of violence and hate crimes that appear in TV series can be examined in the subject of gender in a sociological and communicative way. This study has been prepared with this aim, and the findings obtained from the research are significant to show the sociological and communicative framework in the power and ideological background to reveal the global real-life relations and universal cultural codes of the TV series broadcast around the world. The study examines myth, stereotype and dimensions of connotation and within the scope of content analysis focuses on the series in terms of its reflection on gender, class, status difference, power relations and clothing codes. Televizyon ve internet ortamında ücretli olarak hizmet sunan özel kanallar/yayın servisleri farklı dil seçenekleri, duraklatma/iptal/erteleme gibi kullanım kolaylığı tanıyan olanaklar ile yayın içeriklerini dünyanın pek çok ülkesinde eş zamanlı olarak erişime açmakta, gişe filmlerinin bütçeleri ile yarışan diziler de yaşamlarımıza hızlıca dâhil olmaktadır. Popüler kültür metinleri arasındaki önemini her geçen gün arttıran ve yaşamlarımızın artık her anında ulaşılabilen bu yapımların toplumdaki güç ve ideoloji biçimlerinden bağımsız olmadığı ifade edilmelidir. Bu noktada gücün toplumsal yansıması olarak toplumsal sınıflar temelindeki çatışmalara bakılması gerekmektedir. Toplumsal yapıları inşa ederken onları kategorize etmeyi sağlayan ve ayırt ediciliği gösteren kolektif kimlik ve özellikle toplumsal cinsiyette daha açık bir biçimde beliren şiddet ve nefret suçunun gösterimiyle ilgili örnekler dizi metinlerinde görülmektedir. Bu metinleri sosyolojik ve iletişimsel çerçevede incelerken olguların apaçık ne mesajlar taşıdığı ve altında yatan anlamlara bakılması ve kodlanış biçimlerinin gösterilmesi açısından göstergebilimsel yöntem kullanılması toplumsal ilişkilere bilimsel açıdan yaklaşılması için gereklilik taşır. Bu çalışma da bu amaçtan yola çıkılarak hazırlanmış, çalışma sonrasında elde edilen bulgular ise dünya çapında yayınlanan dizi metinlerinin küresel gerçek yaşamdaki ilişkileri ve evrensel kültürel kodları ortaya koymak adına güç ve ideolojik arkaplanındaki toplumbilimsel ve iletişimsel çerçeveyi göstermek için önem taşır.
