Most of the Islamic scholars, They are in agreement that the Prophet will intercede in the presence of Allah during that terrifying wait for the apocalypse in order to initiate the reckoning of people and to forgive the sinful believers from his ummah and raise their degrees in heaven, but there will be no intercession for the unbelievers. However, some scholars partially accepted intercession, based on the verses and hadiths on the subject and under the influence of the sects they belonged to, while others did not accept intercession at all. Regarding the subject, commentators belonging to the Mu'tazila sect, such as Zamakhshari (d. 538/1144), are of the opinion that in the verses informing about intercession in the Holy Qur’an, intercession will be valid for those who die as believers, and those who commit major sins and die without repenting will be away from intercession. However, according to commentators such as Fahreddin Râzî (d. 606/1210) and Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır (d. 1361/1942), who have the understanding of Ahl as-Sunnah, there will be intercession for believers who commit major sins and deserve to be punished. In this article, we will try to discuss the views of Zamakhshari, Fahreddin Râzî and Elmalılı on the verses related to intercession in the Holy Qur’an in terms of Müşkilü'l-Qur'an science and compare their thoughts about the verses with each other. Evaluating the verses about intercession from a holistic perspective, examining whether there is a difficulty between the verses, and comparing the comments made by the three commentators we chose regarding these verses constitute the basis of our research topic. Âhirette şefaat meselesi, İslam âlimleri arasında geçmiş zamanlardan günümüze değin çokça tartışılan bir konu olmuştur. İslâm âlimleri, Hz. Peygamber’in mahşerin o dehşetli bekleyişinin içinde, insanların hesaba çekilmesini başlatmak ve ümmetinden günahkâr mü’minlerin affedilmesi ve cennetteki derecelerini yükseltmek maksadıyla Allah katında şefaat edeceği, kâfirler için ise şefaatin olmayacağı konusunda fikir birliği içindedirler. Fakat bazı âlimler konuyla ilgili âyet ve hadislerden hareketle ve mensubu oldukları mezheplerinin de tesiri altında kalarak şefaati kısmen kabul etmiş, kimileri ise reddetmiştir. Konuyla ilgili olarak Zemahşerî (ö. 538/1144) gibi Mu‘tezile mezhebine mensup müfessirler, Kur’ân’ı Kerîm’de şefaati haber veren âyetlerde şefaatin mü’min olarak ölenler için geçerli olacağı, büyük günah işleyip de tövbe etmeden ölenlerin şefaatten uzak kalacakları görüşündedirler. Ancak Ehl-i Sünnet anlayışına sahip Fahreddin Râzî (ö. 606/1210) ve Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır (ö. 1361/1942) gibi müfessirlere göre ise azabı hak etmiş büyük günah sahibi mü’minler için şefaat olacaktır. İşte bu makalede, Kur’ân’ı Kerîm’de şefaatle ilgili olan âyetlere Zemahşerî, Fahreddin Râzî ve Elmalılı’nın Müşkilü’l-Kur’ân ilmi açısından bakışlarını ele alıp âyetler hakkında ortaya koydukları düşüncelerini birbirleriyle mukayese etme gayretinde olacaktır.
