ab: This article examines the role of social-democratic press in the ideological and organizational activities of the Mensheviks and related groups in the Russian Empire in the early 20th century. Special attention is given to the analysis of publications aimed at desacralizing the tsarist power, promoting socialist ideas, and mobilizing the working class. Research Aim – to determine the influence of social-democratic press on socio-political processes and assess its effectiveness in shaping revolutionary sentiments among various social groups, such as workers, peasants, and the military. Research Methods include content analysis and synthesis of published materials, a comparative approach to examining Menshevik publications in the context of their influence on public opinion, and the historical-genetic method to establish the relationship between publications and Menshevik political activities. The study results indicate that the press became a key tool for the Mensheviks in their struggle for political influence. However, its effectiveness largely depended on external factors, particularly the repressive policies of the tsarist government. The rhetoric of the Menshevik social-democratic press was purposeful, emotionally charged, and at the same time, theoretically substantiated.
