| Sumario: | This article presents the principal statistical series collected and calculated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2005. Labor market indicators include employment measures from two major surveys and information on rates of change in compensation provided by the Employment Coat Index program. In general, the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages monthly employment data represent the number of covered workers who worked during or received pay for, the pay period that include the 12th day of the month. Compensation and waged data are gathered by the Bureau of Labor Statistics from business establishments, State and local governments, labor unions, collective bargaining agreements on file with the Bureau, and secondary sources.
