| Sumario: | This article reports that various book lovers crowded the aisles at the 18th Moscow International Book Fair, in its traditional location in two pavilions of the All-Russia Exhibition Center. For once unmarked by incident-in 2004's fair took place at the time of bombings in the Moscow, Russia metro and the Beslan massacre--the fair enjoyed Indian summer weather, showcasing Russian and western books to the local book trade and to the Russian public. Russian publishers held launches and author signings. The streets of Moscow have seen a greater number of well-designed bookshops, and the standard of Russian book design and production continues to rise.
