| Summary: | This article attempts to give some interpretative keys to Cicero's De Amicitia, explaining its biographical genesis and tracing its reception of two Platonic-Aristotelian theses: 1. Friendship only occurs between the Good, and 2. Friendship supposes equality between friends. Showing the continuity between the De Amicitia with its Greek antecedents, an attempt will also be made to show what challenges De Amicitia posed for the subsequent philosophical and theological tradition. Este artículo intenta dar algunas claves interpretativas de la obra De Amicitia de Cicerón, explicando su génesis biográfica y rastreando su recepción de dos tesis platónico-aristotélicas: 1. La amistad solo se da entre los buenos y 2. La amistad supone una igualdad entre los amigos. Mostrando la continuidad entre el De Amicitia con sus antecedentes griegos, se intentará también indicar qué desafíos planteó el De Amicitia para la tradición filosófica y teológica posterior. |
