ab: Biochemistry, derived from the Greek words "bios" (life) and "chemistry," explores the composition and metabolic processes of living organisms. The field is foundational to understanding disease, which is now recognised as a condition stemming from deficiencies in specific inorganic constituents rather than an independent entity. Wilhelm Heinrich Schussler's biochemic therapeutics posits that cellular integrity and organ vitality depend on maintaining optimal proportions of inorganic tissue salts. Inspired by Professor Moleschott's insights on physiological function, Schussler identified 12 essential biochemic cell salts vital for cellular function. Disease arises from disruptions in molecular motion within these salts, necessitating minimal doses of the deficient compounds to restore equilibrium. This system facilitates mineral absorption, recti- fies metabolic dysfunction, and ensures cellular homeostasis. Unlike dietary mineral intake, triturated salts in biochemistry enable precise assimilation, addressing deficiencies at the cellular level. This therapeutic approach aligns with natural physiological processes to support systemic health.
