| Sumario: | Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a disorder of the upper digestive system, especially lower oesophageal disease. In this disease, gastric content refluxes into the lower esophagus, called gastroesophageal reflux. But when gastric contents are present prolonged time in the lower esophagus, they produce irritation and inflammation which produce esophagitis and various symptoms such as heartburn, noticeable regurgitation of gastric foods, dysphagia, water brush, epigastric pain, laryngitis, chronic cough, odynophagia, hoarseness, nausea, bloating and alarming symptoms like dysphagia with anorexia, dysphagia with weight loss, dysphagia with anaemia, faecal occult blood test positive. High prevalence of GERD is 10% to 28% in North America and between 10 and 20% in the Western world. Very Common medical management includes proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and Antihistaminic drugs which help to reduce the secretion of gastric acid but if treatment fails with these medicines, then goes for surgery such as fundoplication with mixed prognosis. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is treated with homeopathic medicine. It is based on the totality of the symptoms of the patient along with diet and regimen. In the case study, a 40-year-old male patient has chief complaints of heartburn, regurgitation with epigastric pain, indigestion with flatulence, nausea, dysphagia, odynophagia, chronic cough with sore throat, and hoarseness. This patient was treated with individual homeopathic medicine with a specific diet and regimen and a proper reputation of medicine with observation of the case. There are use assessment parameters for the prognosis of the case and evaluation of the case was done on significant improvement of symptoms of GERD. The Modified Naranjo Criteria (MONARCH) is a powerful tool for homeopathy. This helps make sure that the relationship between the homeopathic remedy and the patient's improvement is evaluated. In this case report, a MONARCH score of +9 (on a scale of -6 to +13) indicates a strong improvement in the patient. In this case, we found a significant improvement in the symptoms. Using homeopathic medicine along with diet and routine resulted in significant improvement in the symptoms of GERD.
