Sumario:This article reports that the U.S. National School Boards Association (NSBA) has called lack of proper preplanning and integration of computer technology into the curriculum the single greatest impediment to successful use of computer technology in the schools. The NSBA supports federal legislation to help provide adequate equipment equitably in classrooms. Additional recommendations are that funds and information be made available to help school districts replace equipment and programming that can become outdated quickly, and that a national program be established to develop quality computer courseware.
