| Sumario: | Many practitioners and organizations see mental health as a kind of well‐being. Recently, several philosophers have criticized this view. I argue that these criticisms are mistaken; mental health is a kind of well‐being, specifically psychological well‐being. Recognition of this point indicates that standard approaches to mental health rest on sound philosophical foundations and also illuminates the nature of mental health itself. |
