Sumario:The article focuses on a study comparing the biomechanics of unanticipated cutting and backpedaling in adolescent female soccer players. The research involved 134 participants who performed agility tasks while their movements were analyzed using 3D motion analysis. Results indicated that the cutting task resulted in significantly greater hip, knee, and ankle movements compared to backpedaling, suggesting that backpedaling requires less motion in these areas. The findings highlight the importance of educating athletes on proper techniques for transitioning from forward running to backpedaling to enhance safety and performance.
