| Sumario: | The article focuses on the impact of rotator cuff tears (RCT) on the performance of daily activities, specifically examining how RCT severity, external load, and sex influence kinematics during a hair combing task in older adults. Using a computational model, the study analyzed hand position variations among older adult males and females under different RCT severities and loads. Results indicated that older adult females exhibited greater hand deviation than older adult males, particularly under higher loads and severe RCT conditions. These findings aim to inform rehabilitation strategies for older adults with RCT, emphasizing the need for activity modifications and muscle strengthening exercises. |
