Sumario:The article focuses on assessing the impact of neurocognitive load on the biomechanics of jumping tasks in recreational athletes. Thirty participants performed single leg crossover triple hop trials under two conditions: with and without cognitive load. The study found significant effects of gender, cognitive load, and hop number on hop distances and knee biomechanics, indicating that cognitive loads negatively affect athletic performance and may increase the risk of knee injuries. The authors suggest that rehabilitation programs should incorporate cognitive load to enhance outcomes and reduce re-injury rates.
