Sumario:The article focuses on the examination of tandem gait (TG) performance in collegiate athletes during annual baseline testing for concussion assessment. A study involving 50 collegiate athletes assessed their best performance in TG under single-task (ST) and dual-task (DT) conditions over three consecutive athletic seasons. Results indicated no significant differences in ST performance across the years, while DT performance showed a learning effect, particularly between the 2022 and 2024 seasons. The findings suggest that familiarity with the testing may influence performance, indicating a need for alternative testing methods to mitigate practice effects and ensure diagnostic validity post-concussion.
