| Sumario: | The article focuses on the Landing Error Score System (LESS) as a tool for assessing biomechanics that may increase the risk of non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injuries in athletes. The study involved twenty-two participants who performed both anticipated and unanticipated drop jump tasks to evaluate the influence of anticipation on LESS performance. Results indicated that participants scored significantly higher on the LESS during unanticipated jumps compared to anticipated jumps, suggesting that unanticipated trials may better reflect the dynamic demands of sports. The authors recommend incorporating unanticipated drop jumps into LESS assessments for a more accurate evaluation of athletic performance. |
