Sumario:The article focuses on examining the changes in functional demand between the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstructed limb and the non-ACL limb during gait and single limb hopping in individuals post-surgery. The study involved 25 participants who underwent testing at two intervals following ACL reconstruction. Results indicated that while functional demand was lower in the ACL limb compared to the non-ACL limb during hopping, both limbs demonstrated lower functional demand while walking. The findings suggest that the ACL limb may struggle to utilize adequate muscle capacity as task difficulty increases, highlighting potential impairments in rehabilitation.
