ab: The research aims to analyze the evolution of characteristics of Chinese music within the context of the digitization of the music sphere. The study encompasses an analysis of changes in composition, performance, and dissemination of Chinese music influenced by digital technologies, as well as the transformation of traditional musical genres. Key aspects of the transformation of China's musical landscape are examined, including the evolution of popular genres, the impact of digitization on music creation and consumption, changes in musical characteristics, and the preservation of traditional "Chinese" elements in contemporary music. Based on statistical data and trend analysis, the dynamics of the popularity of various musical genres are investigated, notably the significant rise of rock music and electronic genres. Special attention is given to the influence of technological innovations on the music industry, from the advent of MP3 players to the use of artificial intelligence and NFTs. The study also analyzes changes in timbral, tonal, and emotional characteristics of Chinese music, as well as the evolution of traditional "Chinese" elements in modern musical contexts. The findings reveal transformations in Chinese music under the influence of globalization, technological progress, and changes in societal values, demonstrating both the preservation of cultural identity and adaptation to global musical trends.
