Este ensayo propone conectar el neo-Aztequismo jesuita en el siglo dieciocho con los debates actuales sobre la relación entre las antigüedades y el imperio, el ideal ilustrado del museo universalizante, y las prácticas museólogicas con respecto a la procedencia de los artefactos, su descripción y administración.
