Sumario:	The article focuses on the analysis of the Royal Economic Societies of Friends of the Country, highlighting their role in education, sciences, and the arts from the 18th century to the present. It compiles fifteen studies presented at a congress commemorating the 240th anniversary of the Patriotic Society of Friends of the Country of León, which explore the evolution and legacy of these institutions. Through various sections, it examines their origins, key figures, and cultural contributions, as well as their ability to adapt in changing contexts. Overall, the volume offers a multidisciplinary perspective on the importance of these societies in social and educational development in the Hispanic world. El artículo se centra en el análisis de las Reales Sociedades Económicas de Amigos del País, destacando su papel en la educación, las ciencias y las artes desde el siglo XVIII hasta la actualidad. Se recopilan quince estudios presentados en un congreso con motivo del 240 aniversario de la Sociedad Patriótica de Amigos del País de León, que exploran la evolución y el legado de estas instituciones. A través de diversas secciones, se examinan sus orígenes, protagonistas y contribuciones culturales, así como su capacidad de adaptación en contextos cambiantes.
