Sumario:The article discusses a comparison between software company Microsoft Corp. and semiconductor company Intel Corp. Microsoft has expanded from making operating systems into more general software, and critics claim its success in such markets is largely due to the advantages in technology, marketing and financial targets. On the other hand, Intel is still content to stick to chips, and mostly to the relatively costly processors used in PC's rather than the cheaper components used in videoplayers.
