On this basis, it analyzes this novel from the appropriation that its author makes in it of narrative techniques used beforehand by García Márquez, among which are the eternalization of moments, polyphony, the effects of orality and the use of epithets. To this end, it draws on the concept of appropriation in comparative literature (Weisstein, 1968). On this basis, it articulates theoretical proposals that have addressed the study of the regular regeneration of time and the abolition of history (Eliade, 1949). Similarly, it links theories related to both polyphony and narrative discourse (Bakhtine, 1963; Ducrot, 1984; Anscombre, 2008; Reyes, 1995) and orality (Jolles, 1930; Ong, 1982; Pacheco, 1992). Likewise, and at different times throughout the text, it resorts to different works that have been focused on interpreting Cien años de soledad (Ludmer, 1972; Oviedo, 1969; Franco, 1973). The result of the article is the confirmation of the validity that García Márquez's literature has in a novel belonging to the French literature of the 21st century. The conclusions ratify Ovaldé's interest in the literature of García Márquez, highlight the double movement that both his revaluation and the reflection on French-speaking studies suppose, and point out the analysis carried out as a contribution to the study of the links established between French-speaking authors and the literature of the Colombian author. Este artículo ofrece una breve contextualización de Véronique Ovaldé y de Ce que je sais de Vera Candida (2009) dentro de la narrativa francesa contemporánea. Sobre esa base, analiza tal novela a partir de la apropiación que en ella hace su autora de técnicas narrativas empleadas con antelación por García Márquez, dentro de las cuales se encuentran la eternización de los instantes, la polifonía, los efectos de oralidad y el uso de epítetos. Para ello, parte del concepto de apropiación en literatura comparada (Weisstein, 1968). Sobre esa base, articula propuestas teóricas que se han ocupado de estudiar la regeneración regular del tiempo y la abolición de la historia (Eliade, 1949). De igual modo, vincula teorías relacionadas tanto con la polifonía y el discurso narrativo (Bakhtine, 1963; Ducrot, 1984; Anscombre, 2008; Reyes, 1995) como con la oralidad (Jolles, 1930; Ong, 1982, Pacheco, 1992). Asimismo, y en distintos momentos a lo largo del texto, recurre a diferentes trabajos que se han encargado de interpretar Cien años de soledad (Ludmer, 1972; Oviedo, 1969; Franco, 1973). El resultado del artículo es la confirmación de la vigencia que posee la literatura de García Márquez en una novela perteneciente a la literatura francesa del siglo XXI.
