ab: The research aimed to identify the level of addiction to the Internet and the fear of losing things among university students. What is the relationship between them and revealing differences in addition to the Internet according to the variables (gender - specialization), The basic sample was (420) male and female students, with (220) males and (200) females. The scale (Al-Astal, 2011) was adopted, and the fear of losing things scale was prepared by the researcher, and their validity and reliability were verified. A one-sample t-test, analysis of variance by interaction, Scheffé test, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used. The results showed that the research sample had a higher level than the hypothesized average for both Internet addiction and fear of losing things. The researcher has developed a set of (recommendations and proposals) in light of the results that the research has led to. The Ministry of Higher Education and Community Police should focus on holding awareness sessions on the proper use of social media, how to avoid internet addiction, and how to avoid the FOMO (Fear of Overwhelming Motivation) among university students. A therapeutic, counseling, and cognitive program should be designed to address psychological and social issues and their impact on students' social media addiction.
